Sam Gonzales, QIDP
Sam is a dedicated advocate for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Sam graduated from Brigham Young University-Hawaii with an Associate Degree of Science and Arts, Brigham Young University-Provo with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Cognition, and is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Business Administration. Sam participated in her first mental health internship with The Children’s Center in Kearns Utah when she was 17 years old and developed an unconditional love and devotion for the population and community. Sam has worked in a variety of roles in the field with providers such as: Direct Support Provider, Summer Program Supervisor, Family Support Coordinator, Emergency Support and Crisis Intervention Team Member, Human Rights Committee Chairman, and most recently Programs Director where she developed four summer programs, a day program, an after school program, and a social skills program. Sam is also a Registered Behavior Technician and has practiced ABA therapy for a year and half bilingually. In her spare time, Sam likes to paint, play volleyball, hammock, travel, and make balloon animals.
